Terms of service

The agreement between you and ForecourtOnline when you use the service. We've kept it plain — no surprises.

Last updated 13 June 2026

This is a plain-English summary intended to be clear and honest. It is not legal advice — please have your own solicitor review it before you rely on it.

The service

ForecourtOnline provides website, stock management and record-keeping software for UK car traders on a subscription basis. We may improve and change the service over time; we won't make changes that materially reduce the core features of your plan without letting you know.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Enable two-factor authentication if you can. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

Free trial

Plans start with a 14-day free trial, no card required. At the end of the trial you'll need to add a payment method to keep your site live. If you don't, your site is paused rather than deleted, and you can reactivate by subscribing.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance via Stripe.
  • Prices are published on our pricing page. We'll give reasonable notice of any price change.
  • There's no setup fee and no minimum contract — you can cancel anytime.
  • Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are non-refundable; cancelling stops future renewals.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ForecourtOnline to:

  • break the law, including consumer-protection, advertising or data-protection law;
  • list vehicles you don't have the right to sell, or misdescribe them;
  • upload malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt the service for others;
  • resell or copy the platform itself.

Your content and data

Your stock, photos, records and customer data remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to host and display them as part of running your site. You're responsible for the accuracy of your listings and for meeting your own obligations to your customers (for example under the Consumer Rights Act). You can export your data — see our privacy policy.

Availability

We work hard to keep the service available and fast, but we provide it "as is" and can't guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be kept minimal and, where practical, announced in advance.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or sales.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from your billing settings; your subscription runs to the end of the paid period. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, giving notice where it's reasonable to do so.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
